Two unique of hand-cut vases.
The Unique vases-objects are mouth-blown into a wooden mold made of czech crystal glass.
The modern silhouette of the vase in an atypical color alludes to the classic Czech tradition of hand glass cutting difficult patterns into crystal.
The edges of different sizes on the rare goldsmoke glass underlayed with aquamarine will play a unique game of glitter, reflections and colors.
Inspired by hand cutting natural gemstones.
A hand-cut unique piece that will bring a piece of the underwater world to your interior.
I was inspired by the unbridled life and constant movement under the water surface.
Every touch of the grinding wheel requires absolute concentration and years of practice. The masterful alternation of different thicknesses and depths of the cut plays out an unprecedented optical game inside the glass mass and makes it seem as if the surface of the vase is in motion. The rays of light that pass through the vase are refracted at dynamic angles and faithfully imitate the sunlight penetrating deep below the sea surface. The color of the crystal changes with every time of day – from the delicate tones of morning dew to the rich, mysterious depth of the turquoise ocean.
These two unique solitaires blur the line between utilitarian design and free art. As a fluid sculpture, it brings the calm of the water element, elegance and the unique touch of the human hand into the space.
Hand-cutted by the master glass grinder Jiří Štencl, Jablonec nad Nisou, Czech Republic.
Each vase is only one original.
