Phytocosmetics in dialogue with glass. František Jungvirt and Maison Sisley Prague connect their contrasting worlds in a photo editorial

What does the dialogue between top-notch French cosmetics and hand-blown glass vases look like? Glass artist František Jungvirt presents a photo editorial created in collaboration with the cosmetics boutique Maison Sisley Praha. The series of artistic images by photographer Anna Pleslová plays out a play of light and shadow, in which the natural ingredients contained in iconic Sisley Paris products meet with František Jungvirt’s collections.

The photo editorial represents the culmination of the creative collaboration between glass artist František Jungvirt and the Maison Sisley Prague team. While in recent years Jungvirt’s glass adorned the interior of the Sisley boutique in Prague, this time the two brands met in a direct artistic dialogue. The glass objects in the joint photo editorial appear as equal partners to long-standing iconic products and the latest additions to the French cosmetics company’s portfolio. The aim is to show that luxury cosmetics and artistic craftsmanship can share the same aesthetic DNA, an emphasis on detail, a sensual experience and respect for materials – whether it is rare plant extracts or red-hot enamel.

The visual concept relies on the purity of a studio still life. The main motif is the synergy between the plant ingredients of Sisley products and the organic shapes of Jungvirt glass. The scenes work with raw materials that are key to the Sisley brand identity and reflect the colorful mood of their products. In the same tone, vases from the Coco, Garden Basic, Toy Large, Jungvirt x Mentlová and Vampire collections are also included, whose silhouettes inspired by the world of vampires and the iconic “Dracula” collar bring an element of dark elegance and mysticism to the fragile world of cosmetics.

Three years of collaboration together

The collaboration between František Jungvirt and Maison Sisley Prague has been constantly evolving since 2023. First, the installation of Jungvirt vases took place in the brand’s Prague boutique and spa zone on Jáchymova Street. The following year, an exclusive collection of four hand-painted unique items designed specifically for Maison Sisley Prague was created, decorated with motifs of butterflies, dragonflies and golden ginkgo. This year’s photo-editorial moves the collaboration between the two brands to a purely artistic level, where the beauty of cosmetics is reflected in the elegance of glass objects.

This partnership is most evident in the interior of the Sisley boutique in Prague. Jungvirt’s glass works complete the unique atmosphere of the interior, which is appreciated by the clients themselves. “For me, cooperation with Maison Sisley Prague represents a combination of French tradition and Czech craftsmanship. It is motivating to see the interest my vases arouse among the clients of Maison Sisley Prague. It is in building a local context for a global brand and in sharing values ​​that emphasize precision and uniqueness in every detail that I see the greatest meaning of our partnership,” adds František Jungvirt.
