Dagmar and Václav Havel’s foundation VIZE 97 is action-oriented in the cultural, social, educational and health fields. It especially supports that which will only be evaluated over time, which has the characteristics of pioneering and visionary. Her activity is therefore very close to patronage and art collecting. Hence the connection with the young talented glass artist František Jungvirt, who creates his works with the help of glass masters at the Ajeto glass factory in Lindava, which was co-founded by Bořek Šípek, a close friend of Václav Havel.
The hand-cut collectible unique in the shape of a heart was inspired by Václav Havel’s hand-drawn heart and was created using the method of mouth-blown material into a wooden mold. It was then carefully painted and hand-cut by hands of master glass cutter Jiří Štencel. Ruby glass is colored with colloidal gold that dissolves in the molten glass. The result is a deep red vase with dark red highlights and a subtle golden shimmer that reflects the light. In addition, ruby glass has the characteristic that it acquires its rich color only when it is heated in a glass furnace during production. Each piece thus has an original drawing and a play of shades that expresses the burning of love.
For the Dagmar and Václav Havel Foundation VIZE 97 was created one hand-cut Unique, hand-signed, certified and numbered.
