About project<\/h6>\n

 <\/p>\n

The ANOMALOUS PLANT OBJECTS<\/strong> project follows on from my previous floral editions Frangible Scenery<\/a>, Floral Creatures<\/a>, but also Trifid vases<\/a> and Garden Roots<\/a>.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The theme of a mythical plant, a sci-fi creature<\/strong>, but also a reference to the Blaschkova’s glassmaking family, which created educational tools (glass models of flowers and mushrooms) for Harvard University. A fascinating craft with an educational dimension<\/strong>, which I try to build on with my own ideas and projects.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

All-glass plant objects realistically depict structures and forms observed in nature.<\/strong> At the same time, I transform and reassemble them into hybrid sci-fi forms<\/strong> by mixing different types of flowers, leaves, textures and colors, but also thanks to added properties. For example, luminosity thanks to uranium glass, cracked structures thanks to craquelure, but also other techniques. I bring the viewer to the crossroads between the real and the unreal, the objects encourage closer examination and comparison with the real nature around us.<\/strong> I think that this topic is more than relevant today.<\/p>\n

Each piece is unique.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The vase-objects are a demonstration of perfect craftsmanship.<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The hand-modeled flowers<\/strong>, which are a faithful imitation of living plants down to the last detail, were created by glass master Martin \u0160tef\u00e1nek from Desn\u00e1<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The objects are part of the Off the Beaten Track exhibition<\/strong> at The Chemistry Gallery<\/strong>, on view until March 1, 2026.<\/p>\n
