The fashion multibrand VERMONT opened its largest retail space at Prašná brána last year. At the same time, it became the company’s flagship store. At the same place this year, the brand presented its new VERMONT Home concept, which expands its scope into the world of interior design. From December 1, 2023, VERMONT hosts an Art & Design Pop-up Store here, which expands the portfolio of offered brands with the works of local designers. Among them are glass objects by František Jungvirt, playful figurines of Tititi, lamps by Veronika Pikrtová, bags of the Sojka letí brand and works by the painter with Japanese roots Sota Sakuma. The pop-up runs until December 22, 2023.

The beauty of Czech design

In addition to world brands, Czech creators will also be represented at VERMONT Home throughout December. As part of the Art & Design Pop-up Store, glass designer and artist and glass painter František Jungvirt will be presented, whose work is based on the traditional references of Czech glassmaking, giving them a new expression. Significant for his work is the Garden collection, a vase in its purest form. New this year are the red and gold Bloom vases in the shape of a heart or the playful Toy, which function as a separate object, vase or diffuser. Tereza Talichová founded the Tititi brand in 2019 and since then has managed to establish herself in the field of contemporary design for children. It focuses on the author’s painted wooden figurines, which often bear the signs of artists (for example, Emil Fila, František Kupka) or dramatic characters from theatrical or literary works. From coffee cups and flower pots to vases and bowls to lamps and tiles. Veronika Pikrtová shows that nothing is impossible in the world of ceramics. At the pop-up, he will represent his brand with ceramic lamps. The brand Sojka letí is engaged in the handmade production of handbags, wallets and cases. Characteristic is the minimalist design and high-quality materials, especially felt and leather. The last of the artists represented is the Czech-Japanese painter Sota Sakuma. His work combines poetic art, humor and tension. The Art & Desing Pop-up Store at the premises of the VERMONT Home store is temporarily running until December 22, 2023, with the aim of setting up future collaborations. It is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
